When writing that last post, I don't think I mentioned that Candace and Dave put their house up for sale a few weeks ago, and less than a week later it sold! They did a great job prepping the house for showing, and it paid off huge. The real estate agent said they got the best offer they could possibly get and to REALLY consider taking it, so they did. Slight problem, though. Based on the conditions of the sale, they had to agree to move out at the end of May, even though they wanted August/September. After talking with Nancy and Drew they took the offer and will be staying with them until their new house is finished.
The day after they signed the deal, the builder called Nancy and Drew and told them that their house closing date will be pushed back a few months because of how quickly the units are selling! They are now "sometime in November", and looking at how booming the condo's are going, risk getting pushed back again.
So instead of maybe one month living together, they now have at least 5-6 months!
Hindsight is always 20/20, but I think they could have waited a few weeks before listing. No one could have known that it was sell that quickly(!), but they still had a while before getting into Nanc and Drew's. Hopefully everyone can keep their sanity during the next few months! ;-)
