Flooring is here

Not here here, but ready for delivery which is happening on the 27th, and installation hopefully shortly after! We are excited!

The dry-waller has been coming every day this week after work to patch and mud and will be done tonight after finish coat/sanding. He's done the major stuff, but there's little touch-ups here and there that need to be done before it'll be ready for prime and paint. I'm hoping to start that this weekend, and also to finish removing the little bits of wall paper still stuck on the walls, and then sand. By Sunday night, I want the walls clean and patched completely, ready for painting.
I also have grandeur idea's that I'll get around to screwing down the sub floor squeaks, and patching the hole in the sub floor from the half wall being removed, and also start the prep for tile in front of the fireplace.
I say Grandeur because Marn's gone all day on Saturday, so it'll be a Daddy-Vi day all day... and you just don't get much done with her these days. She demands too much attention!

We also decided to get an Energy Audit done on the house to take advantage of some last little rebates before the end of the month. They are coming on Monday morning to do that. We had planned on getting 2 new toilets, and with the rebates, it pretty much pays for itself just on the 2 toilets alone when you consider the region rebates ($60), HRTC (15%) and the Eco-energy audit rebates ($130 each toilet) together.

Anyway, things are starting to happen now. Hopefully we'll be off the sub floor and back into a more normal house/routine soon!

Now we know...

Boo to teething. Violet had 8 teeth before we got the chance to understand what a teething child is REALLY like. With the others, she drooled and at times had an elevated temp, even chewed on toys, etc. But now, with all 4 of her first molars attacking at the same time, we are really appreciating what teething is all about. She is very, very needy, not for anyone, just for mommy. Mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy, mommy. She wants to be held all the time and cries about 80% of the time (God bless the mom's that made it through colic with their little ones - don't know how you did it A). Started giving her Motrin and today got some natural teething pills. Hope they work, of course she seems to be through the worst of it which came earlier this week. Three nights of being up every few hours and a forth of wanting to sleep on mommy, not on my tummy, on my HEAD. I actually started crying at 2 in the morning when I couldn't take it anymore. Andrew wondered why I was crying and I had a few choice words for him. But 3 of 4 are through now and she seems much better.
On a fun happy note, Vi is saying 'I love you, Daddy (or mommy or granny or pop)', so much fun. She will repeat strings of 3 words and is linking words together by herself. She is saying - Mommy, Daddy, Milk, More, Up, Down, Please, Hi, Bye-bye, Blueberry, Ouch, No, Yes, Granny, Pop, Love, You, I, Me and lots more. She still uses signs but is starting to say the word at the same time. Especially for more, milk and please. She links more and please together and she signs for please ALL the time, especially when she wants the phone or the T.V. converter. So cute. We got all the signs on video!
Today at the Doctor for her 15 month shots, she told him 'Ouch' (sounded more like 'OW') after her shots (through the tears). It was funny to hear the milestones for this age, walking, saying 2 words, communicating with pointing,etc. She has been doing most of them for months. She was very excited to wave bye-bye when we left!
