So Echo had a vet appt. this morning, and other than being completely healthy, he's gained 15 lbs!
So that makes him a hair under 200 lbs. F-A-T !
He should not be that heavy, and it's completely our fault. We've barely been exercising him with walks, or dog park visits.... and we don't leave him outside very long because he runs into the neighbours yards all the time when we're not out there with him (which we can't stand).
So, that needs to change. Thankfully it's practically summer (it's felt like it this week!) so it'll be easier to get out with him.
The meds for heart worm didn't cost as much as previous years either, so that was a bonus.

cars
Oh, how I hate (old) cars.... took mine to the shop today for an oil change and to diagnose a noise in the front.... Power steering rack is gone and leaking everywhere, and BOTH front bearings need to be done. I asked him how this is possible since I've already had 5 bearings done on the car in the last few years, and 3 of which were by them. One of those fronts has been done TWICE already, and will be THREE times now. He said he doesn't know why this car seems to be burning through bearings like this. Sweet. I'm so glad we decided to keep this car. Great timing too since we just bought a new washer and dryer, and Echo's going for his checkup on Friday which usually costs about $500 (because heart-worm pills, etc).
I guess I'll also keep the winter tires on all summer again -- I was looking for a cheap pair of summer tires.... not now!
Update:
I told them to hold off on the bearings as I can deal with a little road noise if they're not going to fall off...
So it should be cheaper, but it still doesn't feel good to spend that kind of money!

Ultra-sound
Marn's having another ultra-sound this afternoon to check up on the baby....here is baby Rolt having a look at you!
I'm not going because I didn't want to take a half day off. Vacation time is going to be scant this year as I already have a week off next month leaving only 2 weeks for the rest of the year. My plan is to take a week, or 2 off when the baby comes, and as always leave a few days for Christmas time and other things like when Adrienne and the kids come down.... I really need to push for 4 weeks. I don't know how people make due with only 2! :)
But given the industry and economy, it's not likely to happen this year again.

Mother's Day, con't...
I forgot about something we did on Mother's Day!
On the way home from the appliance store, we (I) didn't want to make supper and we had just been given a gift cert. at Swiss Chalet (and related chains), so we decided to stop in for dinner.
At first thought, and sight, BIG MISTAKE. People were lined up out the door. But Marn was persistent and said, the lines go quickly here. She's right, they do, but I still didn't feel like waiting 20 people deep.
Well, as luck would have it, most of the people in line were for 4 or more people. They had ton's of 2 person tables, so the hostess yells out, is there anyone here with just 2? We put out hand up and said, 2 1/2. And she says, yep that'll work, come to the front of the line please! Sweet! So long suckers! We were seated within 5 minutes of getting there. Nice!
unfortunately, that's not going to happen for much longer once we become a family of 4.

PS: Echo turned 4 years old on Sunday. Not one family member called to wish him a happy birthday.
